They fell behind early on but Charles Walker immediately struck back with a goal set up by younger brother Henry. Four minutes later Ashmoor went ahead - a position they then never relinquished - Tyrone France the scorer this time for goal number two. Walker senior was on fire and was set up for his hat trick firstly by fellow striker Phil Hampson, and then by youngster Sam James. The Lions pulled one back just before the interval to make it 4-2 to Ashmoor at half time.
After the break there was no let up by Ashmoor. Dec Turner showed his class to play in Walker senior for his fourth of the game, and brother Henry was the provider for Charles's fifth (and the team's sixth) goal.
Captain Reuben Stanley put the icing on the cake with a textbook drag flick with eight minutes to go after good work by France. The win means Ashmoor leapfrog Plymouth into second place, and the team find themselves only one point off top spot with leaders Ocean City Men's 1st XI dropping points at Bodmin.
This weekend Ashmoor host the University of Plymouth Men's 1st team at their Totnes base.

Despite the weather Ashmoor brightened up the day with a fabulous all-round team performance to take all three points in the 'Totnes derby' against Dart.
It was two of Ashmoor's six teenagers who gave them a 2-0 halftime lead. Elsa Powell opened the scoring after just five minutes, with Mary Moore adding a second on thirty minutes.
The second half was an even affair but Tilly McEwen made sure of the points with Ashmoor's third goal, and the defence held firm for keeper Sophie Bruce to record a valuable clean sheet. The fifth win of the season puts Ashmoor in a top-three spot in the league. This weekend they have a practice match with the Men's 4th team.
Elsewhere the Men's 3rd team produced another improved performance to earn their first point of the season.
Player of the Match Tim Brodbelt equalised for 1-1 to give the young side a draw against an experienced Isca team.
Finally, the Men's 4th team played a lovely spirited match with Exeter 4th XI and ran out 3-0 winners. Son Harry and Dad Ricky assisted the goals for Alex Southgate and Nick Edmeades to make it 2-0.
Then a perfectly struck reverse stick volley by Andrew Maynard couldn't be kept out by the Exeter keeper, Dylan Anspatch making sure that it crossed the line.
This weekend the 3rd team travels to play a tough game against Teign 1st XI.
