THE STREETS of Teignmouth were alive, alive-oh with music and dance last weekend as the town played host to its annual folk festival.

From Saturday morning the town resounded to a cacophony of bells, pipes, fiddles and drums throughout the town as numerous Morris sides from Devon and beyond took to the streets and seafront to amaze residents and tourist alike with dancing dexterity and the ability to shake a  stick or two at close quarters, plus performances of live folk music and shanty singers.

Organisers of the event have issued a  massive ‘Thank You’ to everyone involved in the wonderful weekend including  performers, volunteers, businesses who advertised in the programme and of course the fantastic, generous audiences.
