THE first of several late night shopping evenings in Newton Abbot kicked off on Wednesday, December 7.

Courtenay Street and the Market Square were bustling with people browsing the many goods on offer: there was also an array of street food vendors on hand to quell the stomach rumblings of many a passerby.

Father Christmas made an appearance too, listening eagerly to the lists of wants from the town's children.

There are two further late night shopping evenings in Newton Abbot, on December 14 and 21.
