VOLUNTEERS are needed to help put together there Dawlish Poppy Wall.

Dawlish Town Council has put out an invitation for volunteers to help add poppies to the wall which will be in place adorning the railings at Dawlish Bowling Club on the Lawn.

The invitation is for volunteers on the morning of Saturday November 1.

A town council spokesman said: ‘Whether you can lend a hand placing poppies, or you’ve made some yourself to add to the wall, please do come along on to help.

'We’re hoping there will be even more poppies this year.

‘You can knit or crochet a palm-sized red poppy and add it to the wall at any time from November 1 to 14.

‘Help us make our 2025 Poppy Wall a beautiful tribute of remembrance and gratitude.’

Last year’s wall contained more than 1,000 handmade poppies.

The wall will be taken down after November 14 and any poppies that remain and are still in good condition will be dried and reused for 2026.
