A VEHICLE was left ‘severely damaged’ following a fire on the A380 this morning.
Fire control at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service mobilised crew from Danes Castle and Middlemoor following reports of a vehicle fire just after 8.30am.
Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: ‘The cause of the fire was deemed as accidental and the vehicle was severely damaged’.
The incident was resolved shortly after 10am.
Statistics released by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government show the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service attended 3,871 fires between June 2024 and 2025, up 20 per cent from 3,214 the previous year.
