ARTIST-LED organisation Teignmouth Recycled Art in the Landscape (TRAIL) is relaunching their community group T.I.M.E – or Teignmouth in Mind and Environment.
The new venue will be the Teign Heritage Centre with two weekly groups on Fridays from 10.30am-12.30pm and Saturdays from 11am-1pm.
The groups start on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, 22 respectively. The centre has great accessibility for all and local parking.
The groups are aimed at aiding mental health and improving the environment in which we live.
Local Artist and mental health recovery tutor Amy McCarthy will lead the Friday group, which seeks to aid mental health wellness and recovery.
The group will be a welcoming safe space that helps to inspire creativity and new friendships. The sessions are: ‘Open to anyone who feels that their mental health and well-being could be improved by igniting their creativity and enjoying a sociable morning with like-minded people.’
Saturday’s group will be led by Sam Lock, another local artist. The workshops will focus on creative ways to improve our home environments, town spaces and residential areas to aid mental well-being. The project was made possible with funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
These sessions will again be open to anyone.
