HISTORY’S most devious character makes a welcome return to Teignmouth next month.
The Teignmouth Players will once more be performing three of the iconic Blackadder II series at Pavilions Teignmouth
Written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, the episodes Head. Money and Chains will be performed at the venue from August 2 to 6.
The production was originally planned pre-covid in 2019 and the inevitable delay because of the pandemic has been frustrating to the Players but the cast hope that the wait will have been worth it once this production opens.
A high-quality cast of local Blackadder actor specialists has been assembled to ensure the authenticity of the original series and the hilarious Blackadder humour.
Playing the central role of Edmund Lord Blackadder, the great-great-grandson of the original Black Adder, is David Warren, who astounded sell-out audiences with his portrayal of the role in Blackadder Goes Forth at the Pavilions in 2018, and he production also see the return of Andy Killen as Baldrick.
The stellar cast also has Amy Burton-Smith playing Queenie, and Stephen Andrews, who also directs this the production) , as Lord Percy.
