Teignbridge's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that nine closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A30, from 9am to 3pm on October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen to Alphington - lane closure for drainage work.

• A30, from 8pm October 1 to 6am October 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington to A38 southbound, slip closure for Horticultural works, diversion via -A377, Marsh Barton Rd, Trusham Rd, Alphin Brook Rd, Hennock Rd, A379 to rejoin A38.

• A30, from 8pm October 2 to 6am October 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel entry slip closure for Horticultural works, diversion via - A379, Hennock Rd, Alphin Brook Rd, Trusham Rd, Marsh Barton Rd, A377, A30 eastbound, rejoin A38.

• A38, from 8pm October 2 to 4am October 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Peartree to Linhay - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• A38, from 7pm October 3 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Chudleigh exit slip road closed for horticultural works. Diversion via A38 eastbound to Belvedere Cross and return to exit.

• A38, from 7pm October 3 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, M5 junction.31 to Racecourse, junction - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting), diversion to the Racecourse, junction and back on the A380 at the top of Telagraph Hill.

• A38, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Kennford entry slip closure for Horticultural works, diversion via - Local Road, A38 westbound to Exeter Racecourse and rejoin the A38.

• A30, from 9pm October 6 to 6am October 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 30 to junction 31 lane closure for electrical works.

• A38, from 7pm October 7 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone entry slip and Linhay exit slip closures including exit and entry for local, junction Alston Cross with convoy working for Horticultural works, Goodstone entry diversion via - A383, Old Hill Bickington, Coldeast and rejoin A38 at Drumbridges, Linhay exit slip diversion via - A38 westbound to Peartree, junction and return. Alston Cross entry via local roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
