Teignbridge's motorists will have 17 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A38, from 6am January 7 to 8pm September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Chudleigh narrow lanes and 50 mph speed limit for drainage works.

A38, from 7pm August 1 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges to Harcombe carriageway closures for drainage works, diversion via A382, B3195 and B3193 for Chudleigh or A382 and A380 for through traffic to Exeter.

A38, from 7am June 6 to 6pm September 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Dart Bridge entry slip road 24hr closure and narrow lanes for horticultural works. Diversion via minor road to Peartree.

A38, from 8pm July 24 to 6am October 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, Goodstone exit slip road closure 24hrs for carriageway improvements, diversion via A38 eastbound to Drumbridges, A382 and A383.

And a further 13 closures will begin over the next seven days:

A38, from 7pm September 14 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 southbound, Kennford lane closure for Devon County Council works on the A380.

A38, from 7pm September 14 to 6am September 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges to Chudleigh carriageway closures for drainage works, *diversion via A382, B3195 and B3193.

A30, from 7.30pm September 15 to 4am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen exit slip road carriageway closure for Electrical Work, diversion: Continue to Alphington, Right on Ide Lane, Left on Tedburn Road, Right on Tedburn Road to Five Mile Hill.

A38, from 8pm September 15 to 1am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Marley Head to Dartbridge - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

A30, from 8pm September 15 to 4am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Fingle Glen lane closure for vegetation works.

A30, from 10pm September 15 to 4am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 Exeter eastbound, exit slip to access M5, lane closures for barrier repairs.

A38, from 7pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Lower Dean lane closure for drainage works.

A30, from 10pm September 19 to 2am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Ide lane closure for vegetation works.

A38, from 10pm September 20 to 5am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel to Kennford Lane closures for Electrical Work.

A38, from 7pm September 21 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split, Kennford to Clay Lane, Heathfield carriageway closures for drainage works, *diversion via A380 and A383 to Goodstone Cross.

A38, from 8pm September 23 to 5am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Goodstone lane closure for carriageway repairs.

A38, from 8pm September 23 to 5am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Drumbridges lane closure for carriageway repairs.

A38, from 7pm September 26 to 6am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Ashburton lane closure/convoy working for resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
