TOWNS and communities across Teignbridge fell silent to mark Remembrance Sunday.

In Newton Abbot there was a parade and service, from Courtenay Street and finishing at the War Memorial from 10am to 11.30am.

In Kingsteignton there was the traditional Royal British Legion parade to the war memorial, where poppies wreaths were laid.

In Dawlish on Remembrance Sunday the traditional silence was observed at 11am with a parade and church service in the afternoon at St Gregory’s Church.

In Teignmouth Remembrance Sunday silence was observed at the War Memorial.
