A further suspended prison sentence was imposed for the original offence of drink-driving when he was found to have a blood alcohol reading of 82 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The limit is 35 mcgs.

Sentencing Wirrich the court said: ‘The reason: Offence so serious. Reason for custody: Previous offending, danger to the public, total disregard for court orders. Wirrich must undergo treatment for Alcohol dependency.
