POSTAL workers in Newton Abbot have been on a picket line at the town’s depot since 4am this morning, Friday.

Royal Mail postal workers are striking across the country over pay.

One of the people on the picket line told us: ‘Further strike action will also be taken over pay/terms and conditions.

‘Newton Abbot staff have been on the picket line since 4am and staff have supported the strike action in abundance.

‘We have worked as key workers throughout the pandemic providing a well needed service. Proposed changes will see the job change beyond all recognition.’
