A CHARITY supporting adults living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon has launched its Christmas fundraising appeal.
Rowcroft Hospice has launched its Christmas Appeal, calling on the community to help fund vital end-of-life and palliative care for local patients and families facing the hardest of days this festive season.
As two in five hospices across the country face cuts to services due to severe financial pressures, Rowcroft is asking the community to help fund care for local patients and their loved ones facing the toughest of days this Christmas.
Mark Hawkins, Rowcroft Hospice CEO, said: ‘This Christmas, we’re asking our community to help us continue providing this crucial care for local families when they need it most’.
£16 could pay for a Hospice at Home healthcare assistant to care for a patient for an hour this Christmas.
£30 could pay for an hour of support from one of Rowcroft’s community nurses on Christmas Day.
£116 will cover the hourly cost of running the Hospice at Home service this festive season.
This year’s appeal is being supported by Devon-based, online competition company, Rev Comps.
Managing Director, Robbie Savage, said: ‘We are really proud to be sponsoring Rowcroft’s Christmas Appeal.
‘This year, we are asking people to help give patients in South Devon the greatest gift of all – precious time at home with their loved ones this Christmas.
‘Please donate today.
‘From all of us at Rev Comps – thank you, and Merry Christmas’.
