A MAN has been banned for six months after he was caught driving at more than 50mph on the A38 at Chudleigh.

Daniel John Bent, aged 35, of Lisson Grove, Mutley, Plymouth, pleaded guilty to driving on the A38 at Chudleigh at more than 50mph contravening a temporary maximum speed restriction.

 South and West Devon Magistrates' Court imposed three penalty points and said the ban was ‘obligatory due to repeat offending.’

Bent was also fined £123 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a surcharge of £49 to fund victim services.
