A TEIGNMOUTH shop has been caught selling vapes to a 15-year-old.
On their Facebook page Teignmouth and Dawlish police report on a joint operation in the town.
They say: ‘Yesterday, in Teignmouth, a test purchase operation took place in partnership with trading standards, the anti-social behaviour officer from Teignbridge council and the neighbourhood team.
‘It focused on the sale of alcohol and vapes.
‘It is illegal to sell both to anyone under 18.
‘Unfortunately one local shop was caught selling a vape to a 15-year-old.
‘An investigation by trading standards has begun, and community protection warnings will be issued.’
