MEMBERS of Teignmouth Rotary Cub have been busy over the past few weeks preparing for the arrival of Santa.

A Rotarian says: ‘This year, Santa has asked us to make changes to the usual route Santa visits around Teignmouth, as his helpers and elves are not getting any younger and the hills seem to be getting steeper.

‘With this in mind we are going to be in a designated place so you can bring the children to Santa, so no more standing on street corners waiting for him to arrive.

‘The plan is to pull up at designated spots, sing some carols, have photos taken with Santa. Santa and his helpers will give the children a little gift or a packet of sweets. Then we will move into the next location.

► Wednesday, December 14, 6pm – Shaldon Green.

► Wednesday, December 14, 7.30pm – Second Avenue.

► Thursday, December 15, 6pm – Kingsway.

► Thursday, December 15, 7.30pm – Moorview Drive, Outside OLSP.

► Friday, December 16, 6pm – Teignmouth Triangle/Fountain.

‘When Santa is in the Triangle on the 16th, Teignmouth Social club will be selling mulled wine so please come and support the Rotary club of Teignmouth and Teignmouth Social club.

‘Please come along to one of the designated places to meet Santa and to sing some Carols everyone is very welcome. As you will appreciate, times may vary due to the weather and how busy Santa is at each location so please keep checking our social media for updates and a Santa tracker.’
