CHRISTMAS cheer is set to take over playgrounds, fields and community spaces across South Devon as the Rowcroft Rudolph Run returns for 2026.

Schools, nurseries, clubs and groups are being invited to put on their own festive challenge in December, while raising vital funds for local hospice charity Rowcroft Hospice.

The Rudolph Run gives participants the freedom to choose how they take part.

Whether it is running, walking, skipping or hopping, groups can choose their own date, time and location and add as much festive fun as they like.

This year, Rowcroft is suggesting groups organise a relay event, giving pupils and participants the chance to take part together while getting into the Christmas spirit.

The event has already proved popular with schools across the area.

Last year, schools in South Devon raised an incredible £30,000 through the Rudolph Run.

Now in its sixth year, the event has seen schools across Teignbridge get involved, including Stover School, Hennock, Broadhempston and Rydon School.

And Rowcroft is hoping even more schools, nurseries, clubs and groups will take part this year and help make the 2026 event the biggest and merriest yet.

Those wishing to take part are asked to sign up by October 15.

Rowcroft will then provide everything needed to help groups organise their own Rudolph Run.
