QUICK thinking and teamwork prevented a major incident today, Monday, as firefighters from Buckfastleigh and Ashburton fought a hay fire.

On their Facebook page Buckfastleigh Fire Station said: ‘Today along with Ashburton Fire Station we attended a fire involving large hay bales housed within a barn which also contained fertilisers.
