HOMES were without power for several hours today, Saturday, in Shaldon as a cable was pulled down.

Earlier Teignmouth Police reported on their Facebook page: ‘A cable has been pulled down in Shaldon outside Shaldon Primary School.

‘This has been estimated to take between six to eight hours.

‘Please if you have relatives/ friends in Shaldon make sure they are ok.

‘I am going to be doing house to house to speak to as many people as possible.’

In a later update theyr reported: ‘Police report that although the cable has been repaired-traffic lights are now in place due to dug up road.’
