A PERSON had to be cut free from a car crash at Kingsteignton this evening, Friday.

Fire crews from Newton Abbot and Torquay were called in by the Ambulance service to help shortly after 5.30pm.

A Fire Control spokesperson said: ‘On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a two vehicle collision with one person medically trapped inside.

‘On the request of paramedics on scene, fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to release the casualty.

‘The casualty was left in care of paramedics and the scene handed over to the police.’
