PLANS to change the use of a 19th century Chudleigh town house from commercial use to a single dwelling have been approved.
25/00903/FUL sought permission from Teignbridge District Council (TDC) to change the use of Kingsley House.
And the district council granted permission on July 24.
The building at 67 Fore Street had been home to a handful of businesses, with a gym, treatment rooms and a coffee business situated there for a time.
Other options, including a house of multiple occupancy or flats, were considered, the heritage statement for 25/00903/FUL says.
Kingsley House dates back to the early 1800s.
The house is two storeys at the front, featuring a symmetrical three-bay façade; a central Tuscan porch was added in the late 20th century.
