POLICE are appealing for information following a two vehicle collision on the Ashburton Road, which has left a man in critical condition.

Police were called at 10.40pm on Friday, October 13 following a two-vehicle collision on Ashburton Road, Newton Abbot.

The collision, which involved a motorcycle and car, saw ambulance and the air ambulance attend. 

The motorcycle rider, a man in his 20s from Newton Abbot, sustained serious injuries; he was airlifted to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The road was closed until around 6.20am for officers to conduct an examination of the scene.
