COMMUNITY groups, schools and charities put their decorating skills to good use at this year’s St Gregory’s Church tree festival.
There were 35 entries for the popular annual event which is back in full swing following the Covid pandemic.
Mayor Lisa Mayne’s favourite this year was a tree designed by a group called the Journey of Artists.
Among the entries this year were: Assist Teignbridge, Dawlish Community Transport, Westcliff Primary School, ROOTS, Busy Bees toddler group, St Gregory’s bell ringers, Talking Newspapers, Sunflower Bunch, Little Greg’s toddler group, High C’s choir, Dawlish WI, Puzzles Sweet Shop, Dawlish Fairtrade and the Knitty Noras.
Rev Dallas Ayling said: ‘We are really pleased with this year’s festival.
‘It was started six years ago and while we had two years of Covid, we started again last year and now we are back up to 35 entries.
‘It is so popular and we have such a breadth of organisations taking part.’
The event also featured a massed choirs concert with up to 150 singers taking part.
