Bovey Tracey Lawn Tennis Club hosted a fun charity tournament in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, and in association with The Big Coffee Morning.
The weather was perfect for an afternoon of doubles. There were a lot of laughs and some great tennis played.
Afternoon tea was amazing with a wide variety of cakes and a cream tea – all home baked by members of the club.
To top it off the club has raised more than £400 for Macmillan, through entry fees, generous donations to an abundant raffle and ad-hoc donations from non-playing spectators and some who couldn’t make it on the day, organised by club members Jacqui and Paul, but wanted to show their support for a great cause.
Finalists saw Brendon Hunter and Steve Arnold beat Melanie Kempson and Freddie Chatfield.
Chairman, Chris Laycock, presented the prizes and thanked everyone for their contributions and Jacqui and Paul for organising such a fun day.
