A MENTAL health support group for men is to expand to open its 12th club in Buckfastleigh.

AndysManClub was set up in 2018 when the first club was founded in Newton Abbot.

Now the Buckfastleigh club, which opens on June 23, will offer peer-to-peer support for men aged over 18 going through difficult times.

Groups are free to attend with no registration required.

The Buckfastleigh group will run at the Moor Imagination Collective in Chapel Street every Monday from 7pm.

The group was founded after the death by suicide of Andy Roberts.

Andy gave no indication to his family that he was suicidal.

Following his death, his brother-in-law, Luke Ambler, and mother, Elaine Roberts, founded AndysManClub in the hope that men who struggle to open up have a safe space which is non-judgmental and confidential.
