YOUNGSTERS in Dawlish enjoyed a special Christmas party thanks to the mayor, Cllr Lisa Mayne.

The annual mayor’s children’s festive party took place at the Manor House where the children were treated to music, face painting and a tea along with a story from Father Christmas and a gift.

Entertainment was provided by magician Billy Wizz

Cllr Mayne said: ‘It was a really lovely afternoon and everyone had a good time.

‘We had to sell tickets for the event, not to cover the costs but to make sure we knew how many were coming so we had enough presents for Santa to give out.

‘Christmas really is for the children and they loved it.’

Cllr Mayne is pictured with the face painter and her six-year-old grandson Jago Pearce-Mariner and three-year-old Pheonix Harbourne.
