POLICE are investigating following a report of a man behaving in a suspicious manner towards a teenage girl in Teignmouth.

A police spokesperson said: 'A teenage girl was approached by a man on Rocky Lane around 11.30am on May 3.

'He then made inappropriate remarks towards her.

'The girl was not physically touched but felt extremely uncomfortable with his behaviour.

'The man ran off in the direction of Exeter Road when the girl produced her mobile phone.

'Police are appealing for information and seeking the suspect who is described as white and middle aged. He was wearing a hat and dark clothing.'
