A BUCKFASTLEIGH man has been remanded in custody on a charge of assaulting a woman by beating.
Dennis Ham, aged 28, of Plymouth Road, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman by beating.
He also denies having a bladed article, a kitchen knife, in a public place – Buckfastleigh’s Chapel Street – without good reason.
He also faces charges of damaging a door in Buckfastleigh.
South and West Devon Magistrates' Court remanded him in custody until January 30 to attend Plymouth Magistrates’ Court.
