A FURTHER four suspects have been arrested following the death of a man in a Devon town.
Detectives investigating the death of a man in Exmouth have arrested four more people.
Officers were called at around 00:45am on Saturday, May 31, following a report a man had been assaulted and located in the garden of a property in Ashfield Close.
Emergency services attended the location, but, despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 24-year-old male from the local area was pronounced deceased at the scene having suffered a single stab wound.
His next of kin have been informed.
Following the incident, two men in their 20s were located at an address in Hawthorn Grove, Exmouth, and arrested on suspicion of murder.
A third man, also in his 20s, was arrested in Exeter on suspicion of murder later on Saturday.
Officers have since arrested a further four suspects.
A fourth man in his 20 has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two men and a woman have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All seven arrested suspects remain in police custody at this time.
Warrants of further detention have been granted in relation to the first three suspects initially arrested on suspicion of murder.
Granted by Exeter Magistrates’ Court, the warrants allow police to detain the suspects for a further 36 hours.
