VOLUNTEERS from Teignmouth Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) were called to assist a casualty in the Babbacombe Bay area on Easter Monday (April 6).
The Teignmouth Lifeboat crew were paged just after 8pm, following a request from Solent Coastguard.
They swiftly launched the Teignmouth RNLI Claude and Kath Atlantic 85 lifeboat and were soon on the scene.
The volunteer lifeboat crew helped extract the casualty from a difficult-to-access location.
Shortly before arrival, it was confirmed that the casualty had been safely recovered and transferred into the care of ambulance crew.
Teignmouth lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, where it was recovered and made ready for service again by 9.20pm.
