Beanstalks, terrifying giants, a dashing hero and his sweetheart plus a handful of magic beans all add up to one thing for the Shaftesbury Theatre in Dawlish - panto is back big time.
Rehearsals are well underway for January’s giant of a pantomime by the Dawlish Dawlish Repertory Company Company which, as you may have guessed, is Jack and the Beanstalk.
Join dotty Dame Trott and her family as they are tricked into selling their beloved cow Daisy for a useless bag of beans.
Laugh at silly Simple Simon and cheer-on our hero Jack as he tries to rescue his sweetheart Jill from the nasty Giant’s castle in the sky.
Written and directed by Chris Matanlé, the show boasts high energy singing and dancing, lots of laughs and of course Daisy the Cow, this pantomime has all the usual ingredients and a whole bag full of Fee-Fi-Fo-Fun as pantomime makes a welcome returns to the town.
The show opens on January 7 to 15 with performances at 7.30pm plus 2.30pm matinees on the Saturdays.
