THE main road through a Teignbridge village is closed this morning due to a ‘medical emergency’.

The Strand (A379) in Starcross is currently closed in both directions between Royal Way and New Road.

Police were called at around 10am following a concern for welfare for a man on The Strand

Emergency services are currently at the scene and local road closures have been put in place.

The incident is ongoing, Devon and Cornwall Police have said.
