TEIGNMOUTH Players return to Pavilions Teignmouth this Christmas with the classic family adventure Peter Pan.
With a script by Alex Jackson the production is set to shiver your timbers and take audiences on a comedy adventure you’ll never land from.
The story follows the adventures of the boy who never grew up and is of course based on the story by J M Barrie. And by seeing the production audience will also be helping raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital , for in 1929 Barrie unexpectedly and generously gifted his copyright of Peter Pan to the children’s hospital.
Now for those of you who can’t recall the story; when the Darling children get put to bed by Nanny McSmee, they dream of the boy who never grows up and adventures in Neverland fighting Captain Hook’s evil pirates.
But they never believe it’s all true until Peter Pan himself comes to visit one cold winter’s night.
With a little help from Tinker Bell’s fairy dust, they are whisked away to Neverland where they meet a host of colourful characters: Big Chief; Tiger Lilly; mermaids; lost boys; Pirates and even a crocodile!
This high-flying pantomime takes you on a trip of a lifetime from the London skyline to the deck of the Jolly Roger, the lost boys’ hideout and the mermaid’s lagoon.
The production is directed by Layla Crabtree with musical direction from Jeff Hocking and and choreography by Carmen Louise
Performance dates run from December 27 to January 2 with a selection pff evening and matinee performances.
