THE latest Covid tests have shown a 77.6 per cent rise in positive results compared to the previous seven days in Teignbridge.
156 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on January 3, according to the latest Government figures.
Between December 28 and January 3, 1,421 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 77.6% compared to the previous seven days.
Healthcare in Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust:
One person with coronavirus went into hospital on December 26.
Between December 20 and 26, 11 people went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows a decrease of -38.9% compared to the previous seven days.
There were 17 patients in hospital with coronavirus on December 28.
There was one coronavirus patient in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on December 28.
COVID DEATHS
Fortunately, there were no deaths in Teignbridge within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on January 3.
