A PLAN to turn part of a unit on Queen Street into a Pilates studio has been approved.
Submitted by Campion&Co Ltd, the application - reference 26/00285/FUL - sought permission to create a Pilates studio at 94 Queen Street, pictured.
And Teignbridge Council have granted planning permission.
‘The development hereby permitted shall begin before the expiry of three years from the date of this permission’, the council said.
While the application sought change-of-use to allow for a pilates studio, a treatment room for beauty services will be retained.
No structural alterations, extensions, or demolition are proposed, and the scale, footprint, and overall form of the mid-19th century Italianate terrace building will remain unchanged.
Externally, the only alteration will be an updated fascia sign.
‘The signage will be proportionate and sympathetic to the character of the listed building and surrounding terrace’, the design and access statement for 26/00285/FUL says.
