A GIRL-guiding group in Kingsteignton is looking for adult volunteers to help with sessions.
The town’s 1st Kingsteignton Brownies and 2nd Kingsteignton Brownies units, as well as its two Rainbows units, are seeking volunteers over the age of 18-years-old to help run sessions.
The groups meet at the Senior Citizens Club off Oakford Lawn during term time; Rainbows from 4.45pm to 6pm on Mondays and Thursdays and Brownies from 6.30pm to 8pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Prospective volunteers will first be registered as a unit helper, with the option to become a group leader in the future.
Kingsteignton’s units are very active and seize any opportunity to attend an event to earn another badge, the Mid-Devon Advertiser understands.
This summer, for example, the units have ‘slept with the tigers’ at Dartmoor Zoo and spent three days (and two nights) at PGL Barton Hall enjoying the zip line, vertical challenge, aeroball, giant swing and more.
The groups are also regulars at such event as the Remembrance Sunday parade.
