A FORMER pub in a village near Exeter is set to become flats as a planning application is given the green-light.

The application - reference 25/01958/FUL - sought permission from Teignbridge Council to convert the Lamb Inn, Longdown into flats.

Under the proposal, the pub and existing two flats will be turned into five flats, two on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one in the roof space.

Parking would be provided in the former public house car park to the rear of the building.

‘The benefits are the improvements to the building, increased employment opportunities during the build phase and small dwellings for sale or rent which are in limited supply in the Longdown area’, the planning statement for 25/01958/FUL says.

And Teignbridge Council have granted planning permission.

‘The development hereby permitted shall begin before the expiry of three years from the date of this permission’, the council said.
