A FORMER county and town councillor has died at the age of 91.

Graham Wickham, who passed away in early July, served on both Devon County Council and Kingsteignton Town Council.

Alongside wife Edna, who passed away in 2024 also aged 91, Graham represented the town for many years before stepping down from the council in 2020.

A life-long Liberal Democrat, Graham served as trustee of KingsCare, the Stover Canal Trust and the Devon Historic Buildings Trust, as well as organising charity walks for Christian Aid over the years.

The couple moved to Kingsteignton in the 1990s with the view retire, though there was little rest for the pair as the threw themselves into public service.

Graham’s son, Steve, said: ‘He would do anything for anyone, just to make life easier and better for everybody - he would walk over coals for anybody’.
