FIREFIGHTERS at Buckfastleigh will run a lifesaving defibrillator session.

On the Buckfastleigh Fire Station’s Facebook page they say: ‘Pre Covid we promised to provide some familiarisation sessions on the use of a public access defibrillators and we will be conducting the first session of this type at South Park Community Centre in Buckfast at 11am on Saturday, November 5.

‘This is a free session designed to answer any questions you may have if you were ever required to use one.

‘This is a familiarisation session only lasting approximately one hour it will not provide you with a recognised qualification but it will give you the confidence to use the defibrillator in a medical emergency situation.

‘We will also be available to provide home safety advice for the winter months ahead.’

A comment under their post from one member of the public says: ‘You lot are amazing!’
