A TEIGNBRIDGE fire crew joined shoulder to shoulder with fellow service personnel both past and present to mark this year's Remembrance Sunday ceremony.

'The crews from Newton Abbot Fire Station were lucky enough to be invited to participate in the annual remembrance day parade' a spokesman for Newton Abbot Fire Station said.

The crew marched up through the town centre in two ranks, prior to reaching the war memorial for the order of service.

Following the two minute silence, the crew, alongside the rest of the parade, marched back through the town, bringing the ceremony to a close.

'Despite the rain, the crew were glad to take part once again in another act of remembrance' a spokesman for Newton Abbot Fire Station said.

'Thanks to everyone who attended today's event to remember our glorious dead.Lest we forget.
