VISITORS to the Devon County Show will get an exclusive preview of a large-scale Titanic exhibition and a Beyond Van Gogh Experience.
The joint Titanic and Van Gogh Exhibition, which will be located on Avenue B, will bring the story of the RMS Titanic to life, from its design and construction to its sinking on April 15, 1912.
The exhibition will also explore the ship’s enduring legacy, including its influence on film and television.
Among the highlights will be a collection of artefacts from Titanic’s past, including what is believed to be the largest surviving fragment of the aft Grand Staircase.
Personal belongings of passengers and crew will also be on display, offering a deeply human perspective on the tragedy.
Few people know that Exeter played a role in the aftermath of the Titanic disaster.
Following the tragedy, the Titanic Relief Fund was established to support the families of those who perished.
For years, donations—sometimes amounting to hundreds of thousands of pounds—were processed through Exeter’s banks.
One of these original relief cheques will be showcased alongside other fascinating artefacts from the world’s most famous ship.
Sharing space with the Titanic exhibition, will be the Beyond Van Gogh Exhibition, an experience which will provide a unique appreciation of Van Gogh’s visionary genius.
For Devon County Show 2025 exhibition producers, Annerin Productions, have teamed up with, renowned Devon artist Anita Nowinska.
Known for her big evocative paintings of nature, Anita will be live-painting a Van Gogh-inspired masterpiece across the three days of the Devon County Show.
Visitors will have the chance to express their own personal interpretation of these works of art by dropping into the interactive art zone to paint or draw their own mini canvas to take home.
