AN application for an electric vehicle charging point in a Teignbridge village car park has been submitted to planners.
25/00723/FUL is seeking to install one 50kW electric vehicle charge point in Kenton Village car park.
Teignbridge District Council’s planning portal gives July 15 as the date for a decision on the application.
The proposals show provision for two electric vehicle bays, with the charger in-between the two bays.
The application has been submitted by Wenea Devon II Limited.
The Flood Risk Assessment acknowledges that the proposed works would be carried out in a flood risk area, however, as the works are being carried out in an existing tarmacked area, it determines that there will be no increase in run off after the works have been completed as the existing surface is already impermeable.
There will be suitable protections in place to safely isolate any power in case of immersion, the assessment says.
