THE PREMIER music festival for Dawlish took place on Saturday.

SnookyFest is a family-friendly music festival that raises money for the Snooky Trust charity.

Launched in 2017, SnookyFest was the brainchild of Caz Steffens MBE,  who founded the charity in memory of her brother Chris ‘Snooky’ Snook, who died in 2007 aged 27.

Fundraising began with a small charity shop in Queen Street and after the shop closed in 2016, Caz started the festival the following year.

Despite a slightly damp start to the festival the crowds of music lovers weren’t put off by early rain showers and were able to enjoy a day of local live music.
