COVID case numbers have fallen by 34.5 per cent over the past week in Teignbridge, but there have been eight deaths.

Between April 13 and 19 April 2022, 495 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -34.5% compared to the previous seven days.

But between the same dates there have been eight deaths in Teignbridge within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test according to the latest Government figures, the first since the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust also reports There were 59 patients in hospital with coronavirus on April 12, with one of them on a mechanical ventilator.
