POLICE seized an illegal electric bike in Teignmouth after it nearly collided with a car near a primary school.
Officers with Teignmouth and Dawlish Police witnessed the rider almost hit a car outside Teignmouth Primary School on Mill Lane yesterday, Thursday, March 12.
A spokesperson for the team said: ‘This reckless behaviour is exactly why it is illegal to use them on public roads. Until these bikes can be registered and insured they can only be used on private land.
‘The bike was located and seized.
‘Enquiries are ongoing to prove who was riding it.
‘If anyone saw this rider and has any Dash cam or CCTV footage please get in touch at [email protected]’
