A COMMUNITY centre in the heart of Newton Abbot is welcoming Ukrainian guest and hosts for free drop-in sessions aimed at supporting them.

The sessions, which run from 1pm until 3pm each Tuesday, are an opportunity for Ukrainian guests and hosts to meet other local hosts and guests as well as a space to talk through any anxieties involved with paperwork - the centre can also signpost people to local groups and activities which might be of interest.

It is understood that free tea and coffee will be available at these drop-in sessions.

The Courtenay Centre, which is located along Kingsteignton Road, Newton Abbot, is headed up Newton Abbot Community Interest Company (CIC), an organisation that supports activities and projects aimed at improving the quality of life of those living and working in and around Newton Abbot.
