TORQUAY Road was brought to a standstill yesterday after a car collided with several other vehicles.
The incident, which took place around 5pm on Tuesday, February 27, took place near the supermarket Aldi.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drinking driving.
They remain in custody.
‘Thank you to everyone who patiently waited in the traffic earlier around the Aldi on Torquay Road’ a spokesperson for Newton Abbot Police said.
‘The road was closed for sometime whilst we cleared the debris’ the spokesperson added.
