A DRIVER from Buckfastleigh was caught driving without a licence, leading to their vehicle being seized.

The vehicle, pictured, recently activated the ANPR in Paignton thanks to community intelligence suggesting it was being driven by someone without a driving licence.

The vehicle was located, and it was confirmed that the female driver from Buckfastleigh did not have a licence or insurance.

She has been reported for the offences and the vehicle has been seized.

A spokesperson for the Ashburton and Chudleigh Policing Team said: ‘We rely on community information to help keep our roads safe, so thank you to those who continue to share it with us.

‘Driving without a licence or insurance is just not worth the risk.’

Driving without a license is a serious offence, with penalties including fines up to £1,000, three to six penalty points, potential vehicle seizure, insurance invalidation and disqualification from driving.
