THE NEXT Dawlish Repair Cafe Fix Fest has been organised to co-incide with International Repair Day.

It will take place on Saturday October 18 from 10am two 12.30pm at the Strand Centre.

Organiser Cllr Alison Foden explained: ‘This is actually taking place on International Repair Day, and I have posted the event on the worldwide map of repair events.

‘Volunteers may be able to repair bicycles, electrical items, bikes, general repairs, and small IT items.

‘People can bring their broken items to be repaired so that they can be re-used and useful for longer.’

International Repair Day is an annual celebration for everyone who makes repair happen in their communities around the world.

Every October it celebrates the power of repair to bring communities together, reduce the impact on the planet, teach new skills and more.
