A FOOTBRIDGE in Dawlish has been closed temporarily by Teignbridge council.

The footbridge at Brook Street has had to be shut for safety reasons after an unsafe board was found.

Emergency repairs are scheduled for tomorrow morning, Friday May 29.

The bridge will reopen as soon as the work is complete.

A council spokesman said: ‘Pedestrians are advised to use the bridges further along the brook to cross Dawlish Water.

‘Thanks for your understanding and apologies for any disruption.’
